Fast facts on drinking water
To function properly, all the cells and organs of the body need water.
Adult humans are 60 percent water, and our blood is 90 percent water.
Water is essential for the kidneys and other bodily functions.
When dehydrated, the skin can become more vulnerable to skin disorders and wrinkling.
Drinking water instead of soda can help with weight loss.
Lets talk about water for improving our bodies immune system. This is a good habit to try and improve on. It has to improve if you can provide what the body needs to function well. I have looked all over about how much water a person needs on a daily basis. I hear all the time people saying " I drink lots of water!" it would be interesting to actually stop and figure up exactly. Everyone's idea of a lot is different. Then there are some people that say I drink lots of "stuff" Tea, coffee, soda thinking that is plenty enough. Think about it. Your body requires water. Why would you think coffee and tea and soda are the same thing? Sure it has water in it and it's liquid but IT AIN'T THE SAME THING! If liquid is liquid put some gasoline in your diesel truck and see how well it runs. LOL I have actually picked up a 5 gallon jug and accidentally put diesel in a gas truck. Talk about a really mad Husband !!! That truck ran unbelievably ruff. We couldn't get it out so it just had to run really bad a while and adding good gas to dilute the diesel. It functioned but boy there is a big big difference. So just do it right with the real thing.
Now all of this changes if your on meds that will change how your body uses or how much it even gets rid of water. If your on meds make sure your doctor says it's ok to increase it this much.
You hear all kinds of things from 8 glasses a day to so many ounces per pound of body weight.

How much water for your body weight ?
This is the easiest formula I found to use or think about when you have a busy day.
Divide you your body weight in 1/2 and that is how many ounces of water you need a day for your body to have a chance at functioning at it's optimal level. (Boy do I need to improve this! I drink only water but not near enough)
Here is something I figured up to make it easier.
10 # = 5 ozs.
50 # = 25 ozs ............
100 # = 50 ozs.............
200 # = 100 ozs...........
300 # = 150 ozs. .........
here are some figures of body weight, oz's to drink and if your a bottle water person, approximate bottles per day.
130 # = 65 ozs......... 4 - 16 oz bottles
150# = 75 ozs........... 4 1/2 bottles
190 # = 95 ozs...........6 - 16 oz bottles
