Why is it sometimes everything seems like a project? Is it a older age thing? Like today I finally found a place for all the “extra “ stuff we brought up and I had to super clean. I didn’t have to stack too much lol.
I got the kitchen cleaned up ready to get with some more cooking. Then I thought I needed to check on supplies. I looked at my big canisters they were almost empty. I’ve been stocking up the last couple of weeks ordering in stuff right and left. Lol
I laid about 95% of the stuff out on the table. I know it looks like a lot and I will use up a amazing amount of this stuff this holiday season. I still have 6#’s of nuts to pull out and a boatload of stuff in the fridge. I panicked a couple of days ago I was out of baking powder. I always keep 4 cans around. Locally I couldn’t find the aluminum free stuff so only got 2. Amazon here I come! I use aluminum free baking powder. I also use Unbleached flour. Can’t afford organic I want to try king Arthurs gluten free but that’s another day.
Anyway back to projects. The 25# sugar was stored away somewhere and hard as a rock! I had to get a large bowl and sieve take large sugar rocks and grind them into the bowl then dump that into the 20# jar! Then you know there’s sugar all over the counter and the floor to clean up. You know it starts out dry then turns into a sticky mess no matter what you do lol. So might as well do the flour, brown sugar, and powdered sugar! Dry cleaning up after each filling. Now time to vacuum the sticky off the floor and wipe down the counters a few times and dry. If I’m lucky I won’t be sticking to everything under the sun! Wonder how fun it would be to give hubby a great big hug somewhere in this sticky clean up? Lol
I might actually get the Lavain 6oz chocolate chip cookies mixed up and maybe some other things.
I did get the Lavain Chocolate Cookies mixed up and in the fridge so they can not only cool but the flavors can marry. Everything was ready to cook on Thursday once again.
I have some of the cookies waiting on me in the fridge I have to cook and give as a gift to someone so I will be ready to get with it early.
