Heidi Ho Massage Therapist
This is Heidi Ho and what we see in the truck sometimes.
I just had to tell you about some of the things that happen in our daily life. Around here we have what are called easy days and hard days. The difference is a easy day generally we don't have to feed the cows leaving us time to do other things . A hard day is you have to feed the cows and whatever else you can fit in.
Each day Heidi Ho goes with us to do whatever needs to be done. Most the time on a hard day or rather a feed day she rides in the back of the truck or in the cab depending on the weather.
Today was a beautiful day. Heidi got to ride in the back of the truck with all the feed buckets. She was having a good time. We drove into one pastures to feed the cows and as we were going up the hill we see a possum.
It was one of those oh crap! moments. Here is this small furry critter that anyone that knows pits knows small and furry makes great toys ! We knew she hadn't seen it yet because she was looking south and the possum was on the north side of the truck. We thought we would be really smart and put some distance between the possum and the truck. Naaaaa... Didn't work ! As soon as the cab of the truck passed the critter she bounces to the back of the truck looking for it. Now you tell me how in the world she knew that was there?! There is no way it was making any kind of noise or any noise that could be heard over the truck. The only thing I can figure is she has one heck of a nose!
We stopped the truck to feed and as soon as he put down the tailgate she jumped out and headed down the hill!
We didn't happen to see what happened since it was just below the hill. We did know it wasn't some big crazy fight. Those possums play dead at the first hint of something with teeth. Still she pops up over that rise and she is grinning ear to ear with her prize! Such a happy camper!
We were done feeding these cows and it was time to go. Hubby told her to load up! She had a hard time with the possum in her mouth. Hubby tried to take it away so she could get in but she wouldn't turn loose. Finely she gave it a running heave Ho and got in.
For the animal lovers out there I promise that possum wasn't hurting! Lol, that pointy nose and sharp as hades teeth could well defend itself if it needed to.
All the way to the next pasture she. "Played " with it in the back of the truck. After feeding the next bunch hubby was finally able to get it out of the truck. I'm sure it walked off after we left.
I can't count how many possums she has massaged! It is just too much fun to walk to the kitchen door when hubby calls and trip over a possum playing dead at my feet that Heidi Ho wanted to bring in to play with. Usually we get them away from her as soon as we can. Put them in the back of the truck when we are home an she can't get to them. In the morning there gone.
It's win win for everyone! Heidi Ho gets to play with a squeak toy and the possums get their massage!
Well that was one days entertainment.
Oh yes, by the time we got back home she was to sore to get out of the truck. Her back leg hurt her so bad she couldn't get on her pillow or even get up to walk around.
I gave her arnica 30C and put some of my copperhead cream on the leg. The next morning was better but still very hard to get up and down. She is getting better daily but she really needs to pass on these kinds of fun doggie things!

6 Factors Predicting Heart Attack Risk (and me)
According to Mercola..... the link is down below and there are a lot more interesting things than what I have listed here.
Women who adhered to all six guidelines lowered their heart disease risk by 92 percent. Based on that, researchers estimated that more than 70 percent of heart attacks could be prevented by implementing the following:
1. Healthy diet <<< I try sort of just not good enough>>>
2. Normal BMI (body fat % is actually more accurate) <<< Well I blow this one all to heck!>>>
3. Getting at least 2.5 hours of exercise each week <<< Nope don't do this good>>>
4. Watching television seven or fewer hours per week <<< I'm sunk on this one too>>>
(((Sitting is the new smoking, raising your risk for lung cancer by more than 54 percent. It's actually worse for you than secondhand smoke! Prolonged sitting has significant negative impacts on your cardiovascular and metabolic function. The combination of prolonged sitting and inadequate exercise has been shown to double men's risk of heart failure. )))
5. Not smoking <<< Got this one nailed!>>>>
6. Limiting alcohol intake to one drink or less per day << Got this one nailed to since I don't drink!>>>>
=======================
Ok so most of this stuff above we have heard before. Some of it we are good at some of it w-e-l-l- maybe not so good! LOL
The thing is the stuff listed below is pretty easy to do. It may seem minor but hey, we can at least do the easy stuff you would think.
These are all things I can do and I harp on to my husband. Most of which for some reason he just can't manage.
Well we do try to sit out in the sunshine every morning when the weather is nice to get some good vitamin D but even then I can't get him to expose enough / any skin to absorb the rays!
As far as barefoot goes........ yea right! That's a good laugh I think he thinks he's naked outside without shoes on! LOL Me I am always barefoot in the yard and house.
As far as optimism goes... I am always very optimistic where he is totally the other way which to me is to the extreme. He says he is real and I am just .... just.... to put it nicely kinda on the dumb side. LOL

Another recent study found that optimism can cut your heart attack risk in half, but the tendency to always expect the worst is linked to a 25 percent higher risk of dying before age 65.
According to longtime vitamin D researcher Dr. Michael Holick, vitamin D deficiency can increase your risk of heart attack by 50 percent, and if you have a heart attack while you're vitamin D deficient, your odds of dying from that heart attack creeps up toward 100 percent. The best source of vitamin D is from exposing your skin to the sun so that your body will produce much-needed cholesterol sulfate.
To benefit from vitamin D, you need a level of at least 40 ng/ml, and to get there, you may need around 5,000-6,000 IUs or more of vitamin D3 per day, from all sources. Ideally, strive to maintain a level between 50-70 ng/ml for optimal health.
the benefits of grounding as a tool for heart health, as well as overall health and vitality. When you walk barefoot, free electrons are transferred from the earth into your body, and this grounding effect is one of the most potent antioxidants known. Grounding also helps thin your blood by improving its zeta potential, which means it improves the energy between your red blood cells.
Grounding is a powerful way to reduce inflammation throughout your body. Inflammation thrives when your blood is thick and you have excess free radicals and excess positive charges in your body. Grounding alleviates inflammation because it thins your blood and infuses you with negatively charged ions, which enter through the soles of your feet. Surfaces that allow for proper grounding include sand and grass, bare dirt, and untreated concrete or brick. Leather-soled shoes also allow you to ground while walking, whereas rubber-soled shoes disconnect you from the earth and block this beneficial electron flow.

Lung Doctor Visit
Went to the lung doctor.... thursday. Thought I might find some really good answers. Did a breathing test. No ex rays at this time. I have had one recently they said I had a lot of scrar tissue.
He said I have COPD but mainly from the Asthma not heart of anything like that.
Of course he said I would feel much better if I lost a load of weight. I never had much luck with that but it has been years so I might give it a try again. I am not one of those people that likes to measure and count things. That is such BS! Tell me I can eat this and this and I am good to go. No trading or this for that or anything.....
I saw a package deal at Sams I might try. Problem with that is I am so sensitive to all the stuff they put in food sometimes it makes me sick. I still might try it. Maybe I will get lucky. Will have to read the box.
I had a sausage patty at home and felt depressed all day..... for instance.
He told me to increase my D3 from 2000 IU to 4000. Everything else I am taking looked good to him. (Proud of that one! I did pretty good figuring that out! LOL)
He did say I am a intelligent person. (in other words fairly educated for the average Josephine on the street) about the medical stuff.
He actually sent me to a Chinese doctor for patients he can't do much with. He said he has done wonders for his folks he couldn't help.
Soooo .... what did I get out of all this..... ?????
I am smart enough....
I need to seriously lose the weight ...somehow....
I also am under more stress than I realized. I am always the fixer for everyone else. Time to tell most folks to simply go to hell so I can do what I want to do for me.....Never been to good at that. ...
I thought I would actually give the allopathic medicine a try with a steroid type spray. If it will make me feel good enough I can walk on my machine just long enough to make a difference in my weight it will be worth it. I am so against this stuff but I am also desperate.
WELL THAT WAS ONE HECK OF A MISTAKE!!!!
I used this spray 3 times...... after 2 times I could tell something was off but on #3 I looked up the side effects.
I have 13 of the serious ones you stop using and call the doctor.
I have 5 of the less serious ones.... All of that from just 3 times!!!
To !@@###LL with it!!
I will go back to homeopathy and do more research from a different angle. Maybe I will have better luck there. So far at least I don't feel like it is going to kill me like the western meds!

Wild Cats & Armydillers

http://turnlol.com/images/2012/10/animals-bobcats-baby-animals-1280x1024-hd-wallpaper.jpg
I found this image at the above link. Why do I have a baby bobcat pic? LOL
Well ... The story goes like this. Lately the yard and the pastures have been being all torn up by armydillers and moles. We have hills and holes all over about 800 acres ! Not only does it tear up the grass it makes it really hard to drive equipment on when your trying to get the work done. No wonder we had to spend over $600 on a new front end of the 86 Chevy the other day !
We don't have the equipment ( yet ) to kill the moles. We do have what it takes to thin out the armydillers ! Hubby and I was driving around the other day and took care of that. Today we decided to go across the creek in the bottom ground and see if we could find some more. As we were driving through looking hubby spotted a baby bobcat ( about the size in the picture) just inside the edge of the woods. We kept driving to get closer. We found a spot and hubby got out to see if he could catch it. It was sooooo funny! I told him he better watch out for mama! He said what do u think I have this rifle for ! I can always scare her off. So here is this 60 yo man walking around in the woods wearing trifocals that are hard to look down in to keep from tripping following the wild kitten around that was just staying in front of him enough he couldn't catch it! It was so frustrating ! I could hear him a little ways off saying " Here Kitty Kitty ! " he got back and I was laughing at him. He said what do you say to a wildcat to calm them when your trying to catch it??
If we had a grand son there he could have run ahead and caught it.
All this time I was sitting in the truck . I was texting Nikki about what was going on with hubby. It was one of those oh boy! A bobcat baby moment then the next thing she would say no it's not like I really need one. Then it was back to get it! My other daughter Allexcia was saying good! I've been wanting one stuffed for years ! I said no no no this is live catch only and it's a baby!! She said she's been telling her boys for years to bring one home for display. I remember Jon always wanted a baby bobcat, he almost bought one when he was about 12 or so.
While I was doing all this chatting I heard something lightly walking in the woods besides me. I looked and the baby bobcat was tiptoeing next to the truck! I got out quickly an quietly and by the time I got around the back of the truck the tiny thing had disappeared! A few minutes later hubby came walking up following it. It was clear in the area, no brush, no holes, nothing up a tree. I told hubby to stand still so we can hear it moving around. We waited a while but didn't hear anything. Ggggrrrrr
Thought I would go check the fence in the creek to make sure the cows couldn't get out. I looked about 100 yards away and darn if I didn't see a BIG bobcat heading for the creek !
It was really cool standing there by the fence line . Woods on both sides but we could drive beside the fence on our side . I noticed while we were being quiet we heard what sounded like puppies whining. What the heck?! In the middle of the thick woods? It dawned on us then... bet it was a litter of coyote pups out there somewhere. That was a first for us to hear.
We headed back home and found a armydiller just digging like crazy making another hole. Let's just say he filled that hole back up real good ;-)

Heidi Ho Doggie
There once was a Doggie named Heidi Ho.....
That is always on the goooo......
Whenever her master opens the door.....
She tries to hurry off the floor.....
She must scurry to hurry......
Before the Master.....
Slams the door on the nose ....
She waits for him to load on the coat an shoes.....
So she can check out all the cow poo.....!!!
She runs along side Ol' Blue .....
Seeing the cows numbers are all true.......
When done with that pasture she loads up.....
In the back to check out the view ...............
The front seat to harass, help drive and to check out the road......
Each time held by the collar to keep her spot .....
When the Master goes out of the hot to the cold.....
Each day is the same .....
With sometimes a game.....
To herd the cows from here to there.....
When
the day is done
.....
And
it's no more
fun....
You will find
her inside
.....
Resting
her
tired hide....
