A few days ago a man in OKC was riding a crotch rocket through town.
Cops tried to stop him for something and he decided to run for it. It
went on for a good hour at least. All through OKC and surrounding small
communities. He reached speeds of over 100mph I think I heard 130 but
don't quote me.
Channel 9 chopper was following his erratic driving. In and out of
neighborhoods, on and off interstate back tracking just a general high
speed rambling.
The funny part was ....... after the first attempt to stop him we
didn't see cops trying to stop him but the news chopper was all over his
case. Man would look up and see where the chopper was. Flip him off a
few times. Try to hide in the trees along the road then move when
chopper said peek a boo. This went on for a while. No cops anywhere.
Then we hear on the news that the cops are watching the TV chopper to
keep track of him. I guess no sense in spending department money on the
chopper and cars chasing him everywhere. As the helicopter pilot said he
has a lot more fuel in his tank than the crotch rocket does.
After a while in a more secluded neighborhood 3 men in trucks fixed
the issue. One man blocked the road in front of the motorcycle so he
turned to ride the other direction. Another man had a long driveway
blocked and then down the road a ways another pick up truck was blocking
the road. Welll........ needless to say..... the motorcycle rider was
in a world of hurt when he laid down the bike at a high rate of speed
and slid into the side of the truck. Shattered the bike. Man had a road
rash to beat all road rashes since he was a big person riding around
without a shirt on. LOL (Some kind of stupid !) He rolled off into the
ditch and just laid there.
Now here is another cool part. The men that stopped him walked up to
him put their foot on him to roll him over to see if he was alive. He
was..... the other guy was seen pulling some purple medical gloves on
before he touched him.
These were PRIVATE CITIZENS. Not only did they put a end to this
crazy guy side swiping folks and causing all kinds of near misses they
were evidently prepared for something and had enough wits about them to
put on the medical gloves before they even touched him.
Soon as he crashed I'm sure the cops notified the EMT'S to the scene because they showed up. A few cop cars also.
Sometime in all this they talked to his elderly dad and the dad said
he is mentally ill and just out of hospital for a suicide attempt. Told
the boy / man to stop but he wouldn't do it. He said he didn't have any warrants out on him or anything so no reason to run.
Never heard anything about the men that stopped him just that they
were private citizens. But I have to think they must be preppers ready
for most anything to not only stop this but to have what they needed in
the truck to handle a medical issue. It was cool to watch the private
folks step up but a little concerning when you think about the cops not
really being involved like you think they would be. It all worked out
and I hope that is a small indication of how many people in the US are
taking it seriously about being ready for anything good or bad.
