Heidi Ho Massage Therapist

This is Heidi Ho and what we see in the truck sometimes.
I just had to tell you about some of the things that happen in our daily life. Around here we have what are called easy days and hard days. The difference is a easy day generally we don't have to feed the cows leaving us time to do other things . A hard day is you have to feed the cows and whatever else you can fit in.
Each day Heidi Ho goes with us to do whatever needs to be done. Most the time on a hard day or rather a feed day she rides in the back of the truck or in the cab depending on the weather.
Today was a beautiful day. Heidi got to ride in the back of the truck with all the feed buckets. She was having a good time. We drove into one pastures to feed the cows and as we were going up the hill we see a possum.
It was one of those oh crap! moments. Here is this small furry critter that anyone that knows pits knows small and furry makes great toys ! We knew she hadn't seen it yet because she was looking south and the possum was on the north side of the truck. We thought we would be really smart and put some distance between the possum and the truck. Naaaaa... Didn't work ! As soon as the cab of the truck passed the critter she bounces to the back of the truck looking for it. Now you tell me how in the world she knew that was there?! There is no way it was making any kind of noise or any noise that could be heard over the truck. The only thing I can figure is she has one heck of a nose!
We stopped the truck to feed and as soon as he put down the tailgate she jumped out and headed down the hill!
We didn't happen to see what happened since it was just below the hill. We did know it wasn't some big crazy fight. Those possums play dead at the first hint of something with teeth. Still she pops up over that rise and she is grinning ear to ear with her prize! Such a happy camper!
We were done feeding these cows and it was time to go. Hubby told her to load up! She had a hard time with the possum in her mouth. Hubby tried to take it away so she could get in but she wouldn't turn loose. Finely she gave it a running heave Ho and got in.
For the animal lovers out there I promise that possum wasn't hurting! Lol, that pointy nose and sharp as hades teeth could well defend itself if it needed to.
All the way to the next pasture she. "Played " with it in the back of the truck. After feeding the next bunch hubby was finally able to get it out of the truck. I'm sure it walked off after we left.
I can't count how many possums she has massaged! It is just too much fun to walk to the kitchen door when hubby calls and trip over a possum playing dead at my feet that Heidi Ho wanted to bring in to play with. Usually we get them away from her as soon as we can. Put them in the back of the truck when we are home an she can't get to them. In the morning there gone.
It's win win for everyone! Heidi Ho gets to play with a squeak toy and the possums get their massage!
Well that was one days entertainment.
Oh yes, by the time we got back home she was to sore to get out of the truck. Her back leg hurt her so bad she couldn't get on her pillow or even get up to walk around.
I gave her arnica 30C and put some of my copperhead cream on the leg. The next morning was better but still very hard to get up and down. She is getting better daily but she really needs to pass on these kinds of fun doggie things!
