Spring and Cheap Seeds

Cheap seeds are out at the places like Dollar General I think it is like 3 pkgs for $1.50? Nothing fancy just good enough.
I hope all the tornadoes that went through the country missed everyone. We are used to dodging them but I know some of those areas don't seem to be.

My daffodils are up and at it. The Forsythia /scrambled eggs bushes are blooming. Not very well considering the hard hard summer last year and the extreme subfreezing temps we had a little while this winter but they are still alive.
All the pear trees fruit producing and otherwise are in full bloom and looking wonderful.
The trees in general are in bud and spitting out some baby leaves.
It is time for those with energy to start the gardens and probably way past time for the plants to be started. My energy level is zip so I will provide for those in the family with the energy to do the job and cut some of their costs.
The grass is growing and we have already had to mow the yard once.

We have had a little rain come in the last few weeks thank goodness to fill these new expensive ponds we had made. It alternates with rain then some warmer 80* temps and then some cooler temps then back to the rain and warm again. Typical spring weather.

We are so thankful for the rains and warmer temps. The cows have been chasing grass for a while now looking for pasture eats. We feed but cows like to graze and they have to have something to graze on. At least now the grass is getting green everywhere and although it is short in most places with these temps and rain soon the cows won't have to look for the grass that hasn't been chewed down.

Just got back from feeding cows and saw two pink wild peach tree's blooming! These are found on fence lines and got planted there by the birds dropping peach pits at some time.It is a muddy mess for sure out there in the pastures trying to feed. I gave up on one place and just told hubby he better drive before I get us stuck. I am not a good mudder in this old truck.  He did some spinning around but we got where we needed to be and didn't have to walk for the tractor which is always a good thing. LOL
My garlic  that was still in the ground from last year is up and at it at least a foot high. Figure I better pull them up and replant this year somewhere else. My poor pansies have been so neglected! They are happy with the rain also and now I have to dig out some weeds from them in the flower bed.

Our spring geese are back at the east pond in front of the house. That is always something nice to see, you can always count on them.
Well hope folks are finding something enjoyable in the spring weather I figure it is time to go now.
